What is the A&D MC Series Mass Comparator?
A&D MC Mass Comparators (also known as comparator balances) offer users impressive precision whilst also maintaining a high maximum capacity. In fact, the balances of the MC Series display the weighing results with an extra decimal place not normally available for the given weighing capacity. The extended resolution enables measurements of minute weight changes with heavy objects or containers. The extended resolution can also be used for the measuring of calibration weights in the OIML Class F1 or below.
How to use the A&D MC Series Mass Comparator
Because this balance has a resolution of 1/10000000, extra care must be taken to ensure that it is set up in an environment free from excessive heat, vibrations, humidity, drafts or static electricity. Users must also allow 30 minutes for the comparator to warm up.
Turn the device on using the ‘On/Off’ button, and use the ‘Mode’ key to change the weighing units if necessary. The ‘Mode’ key is also how users access both the parts counting (PC), percentage mode (Pct) and the density mode (DS).
The response adjustment/self check function can be enabled to allow for the balance to detect interference from drafts or vibrations.

What are mass comparators used for?
MC comparator balances are commonly used in metrology testing and laboratory calibration houses, and may also be used for other applications including, management of liquid, gas and powder amounts.
