What is the Kern BID Approved Platform Scale?

The BID Approved Platform Scale from Kern is a tough, IP67 rated weighing platform that is perfect for demanding industrial environments where a durable, trade approved industrial scale is required. This is platform scale that is specifically made for weighing European pallets thanks to its compact size.

 What are the benefits of using the Kern BID Approved Platform Scale?

The Kern BID is a durable and robust platform scale, withan anti slip durbar surface and 4 silicone-coated steel load cells with IP67 protection. This ensures that the BID has a high level of protection from dirt, dust and water ingress.

The BID can easily be connected to existing networks thanks to the RS-232 and Bluetooth interfaces, which allows for data exchange between the balance and PC or printer to be made easier.

There is also intuitive parts counting and totalising functions to help speed up repetitive industrial weighing and parts counting tasks.

This industrial platform scale can be controlled by another device thanks to with the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP). KCP is a standardised interface command structure for KERN scales which allows you to recall and manage all relevant parameters and device functions. You can therefore simply connect KERN devices with KCP to computers, industrial control systems and other digital systems. In a large number of cases the KCP is compatible with the MT-SICS protocol. However, this is only possible through data interface RS-232; other interfaces on request.
