What is the A&D FX-i Precision Balance
The FX-i Precision Balance is a high quality laboratory balance with a range of intuitive features that aim to make weighing processes simpler and more efficient. The FX-i features a compact design to save space in busy lab environments and can easily fit on workbenches without compromising performance. With up to 0.01g readabilities and a 5200g weight capacity, these balances can be used for a variety of laboratory weighing tasks, including the precise weighing of chemicals, medicines and organic samples in small increments.
A&D has built a low cost balance using their Super Hybrid Sensor technology. This patented weigh cell provides quick stabilisation speed with an accurate weighing result in 1 second for increased productivity. The vacuum fluorescent display enables easy-to-read weighing results even in poor lighting conditions.
The FX-i series comes standard with a 4-year warranty and an RS-232 interface for bidirectional communication with a PC, printer or other peripheral devices.
How to use the A&D FX-i Precision Balance
Begin by turning the FX-i Precision Balance on using the ‘On/Off’ button, using the ‘Re-Zero’ button if the display does not display zero. The ‘Mode’ key can be used to change the weighing units, which includes parts counting and percentage weighing labelled as ‘PCS’ and ‘%’ respectively. The ‘Print’ key can be used to send weighing data to a printer or PC using a RS-232C. The FX-I does not feature a one touch internal calibration function – see the FZ-i if you require this.
