Description
What is the Adam AGB Large Bench Scale?
The AGB is a rugged, easy to use stainless steel bench scale from British weighing scale manufacturers Adam Equipment. Like all Adam Equipment bench scales, the AGB is built to last and comes with a range of useful features.
The column-mounted indicator boasts a backlit LCD display with 40mm-high-digits, meaning reading weighing results is easy. The grade 304 stainless steel removable pan makes this scale perfect for applications in the food and catering industries.
RS-232 output is fitted as standard and means you can instantly send weight data to a printer or PC. See the accessories list for more information on optional printers and Adam Equipment’s DU Data Collection Program, which allows you to capture weight data from the scale, and review and store it on your PC.
These scales feature external calibration, so verification and adjustments can be performed using weights.
How to use the Adam AGB Large Bench Scale
Use the power button to turn the AGB on, and when the display shows a line of zeroes, you’re ready to start weighing.
You can tare off any unwanted weight, such as a small pallet, box or tray, whilst the object is on the weighing pan – simply add the empty pallet, box or tray to the pan and press the ‘T’ button.
Press the ‘Unit/Mode’ button and choose between weighing in g/kg, lbs/oz or Newtons.
You can easily set checkweighing high and low limits to ensure items you’re weighing are the correct weight. In the normal weighing mode, press the ‘CHK/Print’ button for three seconds, and when ‘Hi’ appears on the display, use the directional buttons to choose your desired high limit, pressing ‘Tare’ to confirm. Next, use the directional buttons to enter your desired low limit, pressing ‘Tare’ to confirm. The checkweighing function is now set, and the display will illuminate red, yellow or green depending on whether the value is within, under or over the set weight parameters.

Popular applications for the Adam AGB Large Bench Scale
The AGB is most commonly purchased for use in tough industrial environments, such as warehouses and factories. Additionally, thanks to the grade 304 stainless steel pan, it can also be found in food production environments where it’s needed to weigh ingredients in bulk.
The AGB is not IP-certified – if you need a tough, IP-rated stainless steel scale, we recommend Adam Equipment’s IP67 Gladiator.
