Description
What is the Kern RPB Price Computing Scale?

The RPB Price Computing Scale from Kern is a compact retail scale ideal for shops and retail environments. Backlit displays can be found on the front of the scale's customer-facing display ('DM' suffix models) or an elevated swivel column mounted display ('DHM' suffix models).

All models contain three easy-to-read displays for total weight (verifiable), unit price and total price. The RPB also features memory (PLU) for up to 10 article prices to make weighing everyday items faster.

How can retail scales speed up transactions?

Retail scales can speed up transactions by instantly providing a price for an item based on its weight. Simply adding an item to a retail scale and entering the price per kilo or 100g will generate the price the customer needs to pay.

PLUs (price look-ups) speed up transactions further because they allow you to store data for popular items, which can be instantly recalled at the press of a button. The Kern RPB has 10 PLUs, whereas retail scales such as Adam Equipment’s SWZ ‘Swift’ Price Computing Retail Scale have 100 PLUs for storing item information.

Popular applications of the Kern RPB Price Computing Scale

Example applications for the RPB include retail shops, market places, farm shops and pick your own fruit and vegetable sales.
