What is a spring balance?

A spring balance is a type of mechanical force gauge or weighing scale. Spring balances and spring scales consist of a hook attached to the end of a spring. An item is attached to the spring and suspended, and the weight can be read on the side of the spring balance.

What are the benefits of spring balances?

Although not as complex as an electronic force gauge, spring balances are perfect for everyday use in environments such as schools, simple laboratories or homes.
