What is the Kern 281 Spring Balance?

The Kern 281 is a high quality, easy to use mechanical spring balance.  The 281 built to last, made by a professional manufacturer from a durable anodised aluminium tube, offering accurate and reliable readings.

The 281has tare and zero adjustment featuring a Tare screw with incremental rotation, to avoid inadvertent adjustments. Features such as rotatable and removable suspension bow, guided in a ring make this spring balance safe and easy to use. The lower suspension swivels and rotates and can be easily changed using different grip accessories.

 What are spring balances used for?

Spring balances are used as an easy and cost-effective way to weigh items by suspending them. The mass is hung from the hook and the downwards gravitational force is measured, providing the user with a weight reading.
