Description
What is the Kern ADB/ADJ Analytical Balance?

The ADB/ADJ is a range of space-saving analytical balances from Kern. These carat balances have a readout of 0.001 ct and a weighing range of 600 ct. The high level of accuracy helps to save money whenever you are weighing valuable precious stones or metals. These are practical weighing balances for small spaces, with a simple and convenient 6-key operation. An RS-232 output is also featured, allowing for the connection of a printer or PC.

The balances, perfect for jewellery weighing, boast useful features, including a parts counting and percentage weighing option designed to make weighing tasks easier and faster. There is also a level indicator and levelling feet for precise levelling of the balance fitted as standard, giving the most accurate weighing result. There’s also a large glass draught shield with three sliding doors for easy access to the items being weighed.

Automatic internal adjustment in the case of a change in temperature ≥ 2 °C or time controlled for every 3 hours, ensures the Kern ADB/ADJ Analytical Balance has a high degree of accuracy and makes the balance independent of its location of use.

What is the difference between the ADB and the ADJ?

ADB and ADJ models in this range are identical, the only difference being that the ADB models have external calibration, and the ADJ models have internal calibration.

Internal calibration means that the balance can self-calibrate. Although the ADB are lower-priced than the ADJ, external calibration means calibration weights would be needed to calibrate the ADB.

Popular applications for the Kern ADB/ADJ Analytical Balance

The Kern ADB/ADJ Analytical Balance is a versatile balance, that can be used in educational and research facilities. The inclusion of a karat unit makes the scale ideal as a jewellery scale suited to weighing precious stones, metals and jewels.
